Automatically record, save and transmit weather data for computer-aided evaluation and documentation with the MeteoLOG TDL 14 compact.
The Thies MeteoLOG TDL 14 compact is a computer-aided central unit for the safe storing and the systematic output of measured values.
What are the special ranges of application of the TDL 14?
TheTDL 14 is particularly useful in all fields where, in addition to precise measurement, weather data and environmental data are to be stored, evaluated and documented. Landfill companies, agricultural and forestry operations, companies emitting harmful substances and local offices for the protection of the environment or water management etc. all have to fulfil these requirements. The Thies Meteo LOG TDL 14 is an innovative system for qualitative applications in the sectors of meteorology and environmental protection.
It fulfils the high requirements for a precise and reliable processing of information even under extreme environmental conditions.
What are the special advantages of the TDL 14?
For innovative electronic systems, it is absolutely imperative to be able to connect the different system components easily and without problems. The Meteo LOG by Thies meets these requirements completely. Thies' peripheral measuring transmitters are the culmination of years of experience. Simply connect the components, consisting of the measurement transmitters and an external PC with the TDL 14 as a central unit, offline or online, and the system is ready for use. No need for an external power supply. Solar power support is also possible as an alternative. System extensions are also no problem. Everything complies to the EMC directives.
How user-friendly is TDL 14 operation?
Three buttons and one liquid crystal display are sufficient to organize the output and transmission of the measured data and to control operational readiness and the measured values. All the components are enclosed in a rust-proof stainless steel case with EMC suitable cable connections.
What meteorological data can be acquired with which measurement sensors?
What is important with this software?
The TDL 14 supplies all measured data for transmission, analysis, depiction and documentation in the PC. Thies makes use of the software Mevis T-light, especially programmed for meteorological applications. The program runs under Windows. The user interface is well-known and easy-to- use. The measured values can also be used in other table calculation or word processing programs. Since Windows installs the drivers of all common printers, you can also print the meteorological results representatively. In short: Mevis under Windows is a special software with common standard applications - thus easy to use.
How are the acquired measured values transfered to the PC for further processing?
The transfer of data can be acieved in five different ways-
1. Offline via a Laptop with serial port RS 232
2. Online via Modem
3. Online up to 1000m via RS 422/V11-interface
4. Transmission via radio
What are the options for the power supply?
The Meteo LOG TDL 14 functions both with an external power supply and mains-independently in all terrains. The primary power supply is a rechargeable battery. The battery can also be charged by a solar panel. Thanks to an internal RAM, the acquired data are always safe, even if a power shortage occurs.
Can the MeteoLOG system be upgraded in the future?
The TDL 14represents state-of-the-art technology. Thus, the system will fulfill all requirements even under extreme conditions within the foreseeable future. Nevertheless, you can always connect new sensor or computer connections with software upgrades to the TDL 14.
What services does Thies offer?
The TDL 14 is supplied ready for connection for easy self-installation and an extensive manual is included. If you prefer, a Thies service technician can install and implement the system. In any case, thorough technical advice and support is provided. This service does not end with the purchase but is available, for example, for subsequent system extensions or modifications.
