QUALIFICATIONS‎‎
  • Bachelor degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical).
  • Solid knowledge in working with electrical and electronics equipment, ideally sensors, including setting up.
  • Bonus experience and interest in meteorological equipment.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, presentation and communication skills.
  • Motivated to thrive in a sales position with a strong technical focus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, set priorities and manage simultaneous projects.
  • Ability to work independently and with an international team with a passion to drive continuous success.
  • Open to travel, internationally for training, domestically for customer visits and tradeshows.
  • Understanding of technical documentation to effectively communicate product details and specifications to customers.
  • Fluency in English language (written and verbal), German language skills would be beneficial.
  • Possess basic market, product, and application knowledge.
  • Act with integrity, aligned with Thies CLIMA values.
  • Exhibit keen attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES
    • ‎Acquisition of new clients who might benefit from company products or services.
    • Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements.
    • Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.
    • Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions. Work out and calculate client quotations according to requirements and follow them up.
    • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
    • Work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required.
    • Arrange and carry out product training. Prepare reports and keep customer records.
    • Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects.
    • Ensure smooth order processing from order to delivery by liaising with our sales, after-sales- administration, accounting and technical experts.
    • Collaborate and support the Thies CLIMA sales, product marketing and technical teams in working on customer projects and provide feedback on industry trends and requirements.
    • Analyze growth potential in selected target regions, identify key customers.
    • Assist sales teams in following up sales development and prospecting efforts.
    • Consolidate order intake and sales figures. Analyze and monitor the opportunity funnel, and follow-up with prospects.
    • Track inbounds and convert into opportunities.
    • Assist sales teams in managing communication with customers, value-added resellers, and integrators.
    • Assist sales teams in managing requests for proposal.
    • Carry out competitive intelligence, by analyzing the communication of our main competitors.
    • Participate in the preparation of international events, and support teams as needed.
