WSC agricultural weather station: weather data acquisition for OEM providers and system integrators of smart farming solutions
Thies CLIMA, manufacturer of meteorological measuring devices, is developing a compact weather station to provide local weather data safely and efficiently to providers of agricultural solutions. Currently in the test phase as an open concept, the WSC AGRAR (Weather Station Compact Agrar) offers a robust, durable and easy-to-install weather data acquisition system that can be flexibly relocated as required, whether stationary or mobile on vehicles and equipment. Thanks to the integrated GPS sensor, it is always clear where the station is located and exactly where the data is being recorded. In addition to the weather sensors, the WSC AGRAR kit also includes soil moisture sensors, solar panel, battery set and measuring mast with ground anchor. The mushroom-shaped, robust sensors reliably record temperature, humidity, precipitation, radiation, wetting status and wind. The low power consumption enables off-grid operation during the growing season and beyond. Providers of smart farming solutions can access the data made available in the cloud via 3G/4G data transmission and use it for their applications.
